Taekwang Industrial announced on the 6th that Cho Jin-hwan, CEO of the petrochemical business division, participated in the "Zero Disposable Challenge."

The "Zero Disposable Item Challenge" is an activity to reduce disposable items that are easily discarded in everyday life. The relay campaign, which has been carried out by the Ministry of Environment since February, has encouraged companies and public institutions to participate and formed a consensus among members of society. The participation method is to post a post containing a hand gesture to make a disposable product "Zero" on social networking services (SNS) and point out the next participant.

Taekwang Industry is conducting a "My Cup Challenge" to zero the use of disposable cups that occur at work as a way of practicing this, and all executives and employees are making use of personal mugs and tumblers a daily life.

In addition, through a business agreement with Ulsan Port Corporation last year, workers at Taekwang Industrial and Daehanhwa Island's Ulsan factories were paid with recycled waste plastic bottles, and Heungkuk Life Women's Volleyball Team's Pink Spiders eco-friendly uniform was established.

CEO Cho Jin-hwan said, "As part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) activities, I am happy to participate in the campaign to reduce disposable products with executives and employees."

CEO Cho Jin-hwan pointed to Pyo Kyung-won, CEO of Aekyung Chemical, and Ham Jung-gak, CEO of Yongsan Mitsui Chemical, as the next runners.
